Your lovely boutique hotel is on Buda side at the Danube, few minutes’ walk from the downtown and the Castle Hill. You’ll enjoy your welcome dinner here with us, and a beautiful view of the Royal Palace or the Danube.
An easy bike ride in beautiful woods around picturesque lakes of the charming town Tata. Here you can enjoy the medieval castle, and a delicious lunch in a Michelin star restaurant. After all these you can walk around the wonderful Baroque houses & the Cathedral in Győr, the “Town of rivers”, and you can taste the home made wines and lovely dinner of the owner in our cosy village-style inn. (appr 23km/14m cycling)
Riding to an amazing Romanesque church, we cycle through the untouched World Heritage Fertő-Hanság National Park. We look at its rich flora and fauna in a little museum, and then the splendid Esterházy Palace, Versailles of Hungary. We stay 2 nights in a fantastic monastery, a perfect place for relaxation. Here you can enjoy the cultural heritage of 500 years, combined with the comfort of the 21st century, and a lovely dinner in their fresco-decorated dining room. (appr 57km/36m cycling)
A walk in Sopron, a nice antique town with its original Roman city walls, and lots of sights. We cycle through lovely woods to Lake Fertő, take a boat trip in one of the most interesting steppe lakes of Europe, and visit a fantastic quarry with giant halls. We enjoy a gourmet dinner and organic wines in an absolutely unique restaurant of Hungary, full of antiquities and special decoration, collected by the “Winemaker of winemakers” award-winning owner. We visit the castle of Count István Széchenyi, a prominent statesman of the 19th century. The museum gives us a deep insight into his life & outstanding work promoting Hungary’s transport, industry, agriculture, and some of his projects such as the renowned Chain Bridge in Budapest. Cycling through nice and peaceful landscapes, we get to an old watermill, our lovely hotel with a swimming pool, park and cosy restaurant for 2 nights. (cycling appr 53km/33m)
Let’s walk around the prettiest town in Hungary, „the Sub-Alpine jewel-box”. Every house has its individual story and decoration, as well as the castle, protected from the Turks in 1532. Cycling along wonderful woods and hills, you’ll enjoy an incredible experience & some local wine in a unique „Iron-Curtain museum” in picturesque vineyards. Then we bike along ancient wine-cellars, and get back to our hotel.(cycling appr 38km/24m)
We continue our bike tour through sleeping hamlets, softly undulating lands, beautiful woods in a really hidden and fascinating area of Hungary, where the time stops and silence finds home. You can taste excellent organic wines and specialities in an antique & fantastic wine cellar, and stay 2 nights in a nice Castle Hotel with a lovely park and swimming pools. (cycling appr 40km/25m)
We visit the Festetics Castle, a wonderful Baroque palace of Hungary with an English Garden, rich furniture, and its biggest treasure, the Helikon Library. The Festetics founded the first agricultural college of Europe, and developed a cultural center in Keszthely. Then in Hévíz you can swim among lovely water-lilies in the second biggest thermal lake of the world, a unique & famous cure resort of Hungary and Europe.
Cycling along the North side of the biggest lake in Central Europe, most popular summer resort of Hungary, you can see breathtaking scenery with the volcanic hills & nice vineyards at Badacsony, and charming thatched houses at Szigliget. Biking through the Káli Basin with unique „stone seas” and „basalt organs”, you can enjoy staying in a lovely little hotel in picturesque vineyards, and tasting the superb wines & dinner of the owner. (cycling appr 53km/33m)
Walking among lovely thatched houses and souvenir shops In Tihany, the nicest place of Balaton, you can enjoy the wonderful view, and see the Benedictine Abbey, with its foundation document from 1055, and the grave of the founder King Andrew I. Then we cycle through Balatonfüred, an old health resort, and get to Budapest, where you can enjoy some rest and the sights of the city. (cycling appr 15km/9m)
