Day 1: Meeting in Salzburg
Your lovely design hotel in Salzburg is just a short walk from the centre and sights of Salzburg. Enjoy the peaceful ambience and your welcome dinner with us here.
Day 2: Cycling to the Alps
Biking to Zell am See, a popular holiday resort at a beautiful lake, we ride into a 12th century Medieval Castle in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, where you can enjoy the fantastic Gothic atmosphere, the exclusive rooms, and the panoramic view of the Alps. (cycling appr 41km/26m).
Day 3: Trip to Krimml Waterfall
We take a walking tour and admire the highest Waterfalls of Europe (380m), a breathtaking nature spectacle with sensational views, and the impressive power of the roaring water. Then we cycle along the River Salzach to our Castle Hotel, enjoy their lovely terrace or swimming pool. (cycling appr 36km/22m)
Day 4: Bike trip to Alpine glaciers
Cycling to Kaprun, we lift up to 3029m, to see the amazing panorama of the Alps and the snowy Grossglockner, highest peak in Austria. Then you can enjoy our medieval fairy tale Castle, or (on request for groups) a famous Austrian Country House of Von Trapps at Zell am See. (cycling appr 30-46km/19-29m)
Day 5: Biking & walking tour in the Alps
Cycling along Lake Zell & the River Salzach, we take a walk in a fantastic gorge in the Alps with spectacular waterfalls, and enjoy the lovely ambience of an old Mansion, and the magnificent view of the Dachstein Alps from their swimming pool. (cycling appr 21-39km/13-24m)
Day 6: Cycling at Hallstatt
A nice walk in town Hallstatt, a breathtaking view of the Dachstein Glaciers and Lake Hallstatt from the top of a 400m high cliff, and cycling along magnificent scenery at the lake to St Wolfgang, a charming village at Lake Wolfgang, and stay in a lovely Family Hotel with a fascinating view, or (on request for groups) a Country House of Edward VIII. Duke of Windsor. (cycling appr 14-30km/9-19m)
Day 7: Cycling around Lake Wolfgang
We take the steepest cog-wheel railway of Europe to enjoy the panoramic view of all the Lakes of Salzkammergut. We bike around the picturesque Wolfgangsee to another charming village St Gilgen, and cycle back to St Wolfgang. (cycling appr 40km/24m)
Day 8: Tour end in Salzburg
After enjoying some relaxation in St Wolfgang, or visiting some sights in Salzburg, we hope you leave this “magnificent part of the world” as Duke Edward said, with wonderful memories for your lifetime.
