Your nice boutique hotel is on Buda right at the Danube, few minutes’ walk from the downtown and the Castle Hill. You can enjoy your welcome dinner with us here, and a beautiful view of the Royal Palace or the Danube.
A unique tour in the world-famous Herend Porcelain Manufactory to learn how they make their products by hand, and their history. Cycling down the hills to Tihany, the most beautiful point of Lake Balaton, you can enjoy a nice walk among the charming thatched houses & souvenir shops, the panorama from the famous Benedictine abbey, and the lovely dinner & wines of the owner in our small hotel in picturesque vineyards. (cycling 24km/15m appr)
Biking on the North side, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding volcanic hills. We bike through the picturesque Káli Basin with „stone seas” & “basalt organ-pipes”, and cycle among charming vineyards & thatched houses of Badacsony and Szigliget. We stay in a lovely hotel, and taste nice wines of Balaton in their 19th century taverna built by a famous noble family of Hungary, the Festetics. (cycling appr 53km/33m)
We cycle through wonderful woods to Sümeg, the „Sixtus of Hungary”. A special organic wine tasting in the antique & unique wine cellar of the Bishop’s Palace, and a small tour in the medieval fortress on the hilltop, with a panoramic view from the walls. Then you can enjoy the lovely swimming pools and ambience in the park of a nice Castle of a noble family for 2 nights. (cycling appr 37km/23m)
Cycling to Keszthely, we visit the splendid Baroque palace of the Festetics family, and its biggest treasure, the Helikon Library. The Festetics developed a cultural center in Keszthely, and founded the first agricultural college of Europe. Then you can swim among wonderful water-lilies in the biggest thermal lake of Europe in Hévíz, a famous & unique cure resort of Hungary, and relax in the park or pool of our hotel. We cycle among beautiful lakes of Little Balaton, and visit a small exhibition about the extremely rich flora and fauna of this National Park. Some biking and you’ll see our Great Hungarian Grey Cattle and Water Buffalos. Cycling through untouched areas we reach Lake Balaton, and ride along the shore to a peaceful place where we stay at a nice Hunting Lodge with a lovely swimming pool, and delicious game food. (cycling appr 57-70km/35-43m)
An easy bike ride through nice resort villages along the South shore of the “Hungarian See”. We will stop at lovely viewpoints, beaches and marinas to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake with the hills of the northern side in the background. Then in Budapest you can enjoy seeing the sights, or some rest with a drink in our hotel. (cycling appr 44-69km/27-43m)
